Voces of a Pandemic
Sunday Jan. 17
Voces of a Pandemic Oral History Virtual Showcase
5 to 6 p.m.
Voces Oral History Center

Join Voces for this online showcase featuring the Voces of a Pandemic oral history project. Voces of a Pandemic is an organized and ambitious multi-university research coalition documenting the first-hand accounts of the impact on our Latino community, from families hit by COVID, to frontline health care workers, the stress on essential workers, as well as the impacts of job loss in the recession.

We will also be joined with Austin artist Nikki Diaz commissioned by the Voces Oral History Center to create a limited edition artwork “Raíces Fuertes y Corazones Fuertes” commemorating the resilience of our greater Latino community in the face of the ongoing pandemic, featuring themes from the Voces of a Pandemic collection. This is a free event.
